First meeting: We met on New Year’s Eve of 2007. Our maid of honour, Luisa, who was a mutual friend, introduced us. Padraig told his friend that night that he had just met the girl he was going to marry..... and he was right. The proposal: We were putting up our first Christmas tree together. Paddy opened champagne and then asked me. I was in my pj’s! He had already phoned my Dad that morning to ask for permission. The Ceremony: Waterford Cathedral of the most Holy Trinity. The Reception: Waterford Castle. Photography: Shane O’Neill of Aspect Photography who was brilliant. Most memorable part of the day: The Cathedral was beautiful and the Waterford Youth Choir made the ceremony even more memorable. Caroline Reid O’Brien was the soloist and she was breathtaking.
