As part of a €7million refurbishment programme, the hotel has recently completed a luxurious upgrade of all 118 guest rooms including the signature Ormonde Suite; a haven for the Bride and Groom. Complete with sweeping views over historic Kilkenny, this lavish Suite offers a sense of romance on your wedding night with numerous touches and extras to add to an already memorable occasion.
Following a regal red carpet welcome, wedding guests can enjoy welcome drinks in the Ormonde Lounge, offering a relaxed yet charming setting. Couples can choose from our Champagne selections, fine wines, seasonal drinks and cocktails or a variety of drinks from our extensive bar area.
A short stroll leads to the Kings Ballroom, where many prestigious occasions have been hosted, not least the very personal wedding days of many, many couples. Boasting the finest city centre banqueting facilities, the Kings Ballroom seats up to 200 guests amid lavish table decorations, crisp linens and gleaming silverware. Throughout, a sense of occasion marks each and every wedding day, reflected best in the attention to detail afforded each couple by our expert Banqueting professionals, lead by Danielle Tuite.
Each of our round banquet tables seats 10 guests with floor length linen, candelabras and complimentary floral centerpieces from Kilkenny’s finest florists available to suit all tastes.
Warm tones of plum and gold make for an inviting atmosphere, while chair covers and bows, towering napkins and delicate tee lights add plenty to the romance of the occasion.
Executive Chef, Mark Gaffney, and his team have created a range of sumptuous dishes to meet all tastes where the finest Irish ingredients combine to produce menus of flair and personality.
